He first gained fame as the lead singer and bassist for the rock band The Police, which formed in 1977. The Police achieved worldwide success with hits like “Roxanne,” “Message in a Bottle,” “Every Breath You Take,” and “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic.”

After The Police disbanded in 1986, Sting embarked on a highly successful solo career. His solo albums have explored a wide range of musical genres, including rock, pop, jazz, and world music.
