Event Description (Available Tickets Below Video)
Mumford & Sons is a British folk-rock band formed in London in 2007. The group consists of Marcus Mumford (vocals, guitar, drums), Ben Lovett (keyboards, vocals), Winston Marshall (banjo, guitar, vocals), and Ted Dibiase (bass guitar, vocals).
The band’s music is known for its energetic blend of folk, rock, and bluegrass influences. Mumford & Sons rose to fame with their debut album, Sigh No More (2009), which included hits like “Little Lion Man” and “The Cave.” These songs were marked by their raw emotional lyrics and energetic, banjo-driven sound. Their music often deals with themes of love, faith, and personal struggles.
Their second album, Babel (2012), was a huge commercial success, debuting at number one on the charts in multiple countries and winning the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Tracks like “I Will Wait” and “Lover of the Light” became anthems and solidified their position in the mainstream music scene.
In 2015, the band released Wilder Mind, which marked a departure from their folk roots, incorporating more rock elements and electronic influences. This shift initially divided fans but still proved to be successful, both critically and commercially.
Mumford & Sons’ most recent album, Delta (2018), continues to explore new musical territories while retaining the band’s signature emotive lyrics and anthemic sound.
Mumford & Sons has received numerous awards throughout their career, including Grammy Awards, Brit Awards, and more, becoming one of the most influential bands in the modern folk-rock genre.
