Def Leppard is a British rock band formed in Sheffield, England, in 1977. They are known for their melodic hard rock sound, catchy hooks, and harmonized vocals. The band’s lineup consists of Joe Elliott (vocals), Rick Savage (bass guitar), Rick Allen (drums), Phil Collen (guitar), and Vivian Campbell (guitar).
Def Leppard rose to fame in the 1980s with their album “Pyromania” (1983) and achieved massive commercial success with their follow-up album, “Hysteria” (1987), which produced several hit singles including “Pour Some Sugar on Me” and “Love Bites”. Despite drummer Rick Allen losing his left arm in a car accident in 1984, he continued to drum for the band using a customized electronic drum kit.
