The Black Eyed Peas are an American musical group known for their eclectic mix of hip hop, pop, and electronic dance music. The group originated in Los Angeles in the early 1990s and underwent several lineup changes before achieving mainstream success in the 2000s.
The founding members of the Black Eyed Peas were will.i.am (William Adams) and apl.de.ap (Allan Pineda Lindo), who met in the Los Angeles hip hop scene. They later recruited Taboo (Jaime Luis Gomez) and singer Fergie (Stacy Ferguson) to complete the group’s lineup.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the Black Eyed Peas released several albums that gained moderate success, but it was their 2003 album “Elephunk” that propelled them to international fame.
