Event Description (Available Tickets Below Video)

Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO) is a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1973. The group originally consisted of Randy Bachman (guitar, vocals), Fred Turner (bass, vocals), Blair Thornton (guitar), and Robbie Bachman (drums). They quickly gained popularity in the 1970s with their hard rock sound and catchy, guitar-driven melodies.

BTO’s self-titled debut album, “Bachman-Turner Overdrive” (1973), featured the hit singles “Blue Collar” and “Let It Ride.” However, it was their second album, “Bachman-Turner Overdrive II” (1973), that propelled them to international success. The album spawned their most iconic song, “Takin’ Care of Business,” which became a rock anthem and remains one of the most recognizable tracks in classic rock history. Throughout the 1970s, BTO continued to release successful albums, including “Not Fragile” (1974), which featured hits like “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” and “Roll On Down the Highway.” Their music was characterized by its driving rhythms, memorable guitar riffs, and relatable lyrics about everyday life.

After several lineup changes and solo projects, BTO disbanded in the early 1980s, but their music continued to resonate with audiences through classic rock radio and soundtracks. They reunited in various formations over the years for tours and special performances, maintaining their status as pioneers of Canadian rock music. Bachman-Turner Overdrive’s influence can still be felt today, with their songs being frequently covered by other artists and featured in movies, TV shows, and commercials. They are considered one of the most successful and enduring rock bands of the 1970s.
